Today I will be taking care of my finish Opae' ula habitat. I get to take home are Opae' ula habitat today. I had to put haft of the brackish water in a separate container. I had to wrap the glass container in a towel, and put it in a small bag. We got spiurrlina and a tooth pick to feed them. When feeding put toothpick in spiurrlina tap the tooth pick on the side of the glass. Do not leave your habitat in the sun or the shrimp will die. Opae' ula can not live in over 80 degrees Fahrenheit water.
Today we added the finishing touches. We got to put shrimp in are habitat for the Opae' ula. I got 9 Opae' ula in my habitat. We also made an cover for the habitat. We had to drill a hole in the cover and wrap foam around the cover. That's the finishing touches.
Today we created the habitat for the Opae' ula. The first thing we did was put the Bactria the tank to brake down died shrimp. Then we picked a rock to put in are habitat. Last we mixed fresh with salt to make brackish water, we had to measure the the water in a hydrometer. We had to measure the water at 1.008. Then you are finish.
Today we prepared the gravel for the Opae' ula habitat. The first thing we did was pour the gravel in a glass container. Then we washed the gravel with water, we washed the gravel to get the dust out. Then we poured out all the water. Last we put the gravel in the glass container.
Today we did are doing are first observation on the Opea' ula. The meaning of Opea'ula is red shrimp. These shrimps were from the Island of Hawaii. These shrimp eat spurlina in the tank.
